Some news from the frontline. First of all we want to thank everyone for
making year 2007 such amazing year for the Swallow the sun. We toured
almost 100 gigs supporting the "Hope" album, did 2 european tours, our
first north American tour and did mini tour in Spain and Portugal too. We
had honour to play huge festivals outside Finland such as Wacken Open Air,
Summerbreeze, With Full Force and Metal Heart Festival. We also did two
videos for the songs "Dont fall asleep" and "Doomed to walk the earth".
Hope album was voted as 3 best metal album in the world by Soundi magazine
and we entered in many music magazines readers and editors polls around
Finland for the best band and album of 2007. We also won the "Mättöfemma"
gategory in Femmagaala awards in Finland. So, thank you once again people
for coming to the gigs, buying the album and making it rise no.3 in
official Finnish album chart last year!
Alright, back to the dark future. We are now rehersing the new music and
will go to the studio this spring to do next Swallow The Sun release
called "Plague of butterflies" that will come out later 2008. We will give
you more news about this new opus soon and what it will be... plague is
coming people, plague is coming.
